Lorca Deportiva and La Hoya Lorca have already booked their places in the play-offs for promotion to Segunda B. But Lorca will need more spectators than this if they are not to share the financial misfortunes of previous promotions (eg Mazarrón CF).

With their win against El Palmar last night, Águilas FC have now joined the two Lorca teams in the play-offs. A good season for the west of the province!
There are still 5/6 teams fighting for the last play-off place.

TOTANA RELEGATED
Olimpico De Totana, who were very unlucky to lose 0-9 at home today, have been relegated from the Tercera division group XIII and will be playing in the Preferente next season.
Their stats with 4 games to go are
P 34 W 4 D 5 L 25 GF 25 GA 125 Points 17
Oh dear me, what a pity, never mind 😜

Well, that didn't last long!
You may remember the shambolic end to last season when we had no idea who would get promoted/relegated. Eventally CD Algar got the nod and spent this season in the Tercera.
After today's loss at home to Ciudad de Murcia, they will be joining Totana back in the Preferente next season.

Interesting final day in the Tercera:
CAP CIUDAD 0 - 1 MAR MENOR C.F. F.C. PINATAR ARENA 1 - 0 YECLANO DEPORTIVO
At the beginning of the day, Yeclano led Mar Menor by one point in the race for the final play-off place. CAP Ciudad de Murcia led FC Pinatar by one point to avoid relegation.
What a coincidence that the four teams should be playing each other. With both the underdogs coming out on top.
So the final three teams to be relegated to the Prefrente are Totana, Algar and CAP Ciudad.

As with the 2B play-offs, the Tercera winners only play one eliminator round to get the promotion.
Lorca Deportiva ended up on the end of a 0-2 defeat...
Real Betis Balompié B 2-0 CF Lorca Deportiva
The return leg is on Sunday at 8 p.m.
The other contenders have three rounds to go through. The first games were not favourable to the Murcians:
Unionistas de Salamanca CF 1-0 Águilas FC SD Beasain 5-0 La Hoya Lorca CF B Mar Menor CF 1-1 Náxara CD

That's a pity as we could do with a couple of them being promoted so Mazarrón can get in via the back door.

It must say something about the standards in our Tercera. The 2 Lorca teams and Aguilas romped home 14 points clear of Mar Menor in 4th place.

We could do with a couple of our local teams gaining promotion through the playoffs to help our cause.

But no trouble in the second leg.

One more round to be won........

Fútbol Alcobendas Sport 1-2 CF Lorca Deportiva
Lorca win the first leg of the final to get one foot in Segunda 'B'
If they get promoted, FC Cartagena will get promoted from Preferente to Tercera.
One more default would see Mazarrón go up too!

Lorca Dep. will play the second (home) leg of the final next Sunday (25th) at the Estadio Artes Carrasco.
KO at 20:00 (Spanish). Entry €8.
An opportunity to see a local club get promoted to the Segunda B - when/if they win.
Two Lorca promotions in the same season will really be something for the town to celebrate.
