Ex-Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes is among those in the frame to replace Sherwood, 46. Although there was some relief from the pressure on his own job today with a 4-0 victory in Valencia against Levante.

Well then....QPR's Chris Ramsey didn't look too happy after losing at Brentford tonight. And with Neil Warnock sitting in the stands, what odds on CR being the next name in this list?
Being beaten by Brentford may be this season's clue to the merry-go-round.

GOOD LUCK MATE, YOU'LL NEED IT
Aston Villa will appoint ex-Lyon boss Remi Garde as their new manager on Monday - replacing Tim Sherwood.
The Frenchman will sign a three-and-a-half-year deal and will watch Monday's trip to Tottenham from the stands.
The 49-year-old inherits a team bottom of the Premier League with just four points from 10 games.
Bastia coach Reginald Ray will become Garde's assistant and the pair will take charge for the home fixture against Manchester City next Sunday.

Looks like Ramsey's got at least one more week at QPR.
Which is more than can be said for Cambridge's Richard Money....
Cambridge United have parted company with manager Richard Money with the club 18th in League Two and having won just five league games this season. Money, 60, was appointed three years ago and led the U's to promotion back to the Football League in 2014, winning the FA Trophy in the same season. Cambridge reached the fourth round of the FA Cup last season and earned a replay against Manchester United. Assistant manager Joe Dunne will be in charge until a new boss is found. (BBCSport)

YOU FORGET THEY WERE ONCE A PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE
League One side Swindon Town have named former player Martin Ling as first-team manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Ling, 49, played 190 times for the club in two different spells, helping them to the Premier League in 1993.

One in, one out
York City have appointed former Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara as manager following the departure of Russ Wilcox.
The 42-year-old, who has also previously managed Partick Thistle, represented Scotland 33 times and played more than 250 games for Celtic.
Huddersfield Town have sacked boss Chris Powell after just three league wins this season.
The 46-year-old former Charlton boss was appointed Terriers manager in September 2014 and guided them to safety in the Championship last season.
However, Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Reading saw them drop to 18th in the table.

NO SURPRISE HERE
Queens Park Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey has been sacked.
The 53-year-old, who signed a three-year deal as Rangers boss in May after a spell in caretaker charge, leaves a day after a 1-0 defeat by Derby left the team 13th in the Championship.
Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand said the move was made in the "best interests of the club".
Former boss Neil Warnock, who has been acting as an adviser at Loftus Road, has been placed in temporary charge.

HE'D RATHER GO TO HUDDESFIELD THAN LIVERPOOL, SAYS A LOT
Huddersfield Town have appointed former Borussia Dortmund coach David Wagner as their new head coach.
The 44-year-old replaces Chris Powell, who was sacked on Wednesday with Town 18th in the Championship table.
He had previously been linked with rejoining ex-Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp on the coaching staff at Liverpool.

AND ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
Fulham have sacked manager Kit Symons after Saturday's 5-2 home defeat by Birmingham left the club 12th in the Championship table.
Symons, 44, took charge in October 2014 after the departure of Felix Magath and leaves the club eight points short of the play-off places.
Fulham chairman Shahid Khan said: "It is now time to take Fulham to the higher level of success that we expect from our manager and our players."
A search for a new manager has begun.

And so it came to pass!!!! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34756773EDIT: Not sure Sociedad have much idea on managers! "After their experiment with an overseas manager, Real Sociedad have quickly returned to their native shores by lining up Eusebio Sacristan as their next boss. The former Spain midfielder recently left Barcelona after four years in charge of the club's B team. (BBC Sport)"He was sacked by Barcelona in February - having got the 'B' team into a position where they subsequently dropped into Segunda B for the first time in 5 years.

ANOTHER SURPRISE ONE
Championship side Blackburn Rovers have sacked manager Gary Bowyer with the club 16th in the table.
The 44-year-old had two spells as caretaker manager while reserve-team boss at Ewood Park, before being appointed full-time in May 2013.
Another case of "play Brentford and get the sack?"
Blackburn drew 1-1 with Brentford last weekend.
