THE CHICKENS COME HOME TO ROOST
This is the news that every Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest fans have been waiting for, because if QPR win against the football league the three teams must come out of the unfair embargo imposed on them.
QPR 'challenge legality' of Football League FFP regulations
QPR lasted just one season in the Premier League before being relegated
Queens Park Rangers revealed they have begun legal proceedings against the Football League, a day after being relegated from the Premier League.
The club say they are challenging "the legality of the Championship Financial Fair Play rules", which could leave them facing a fine of up to £58m.
Rangers said any charge for breaching the rules would not begin until the outcome of their challenge was known.
Their relegation was confirmed by Sunday's 6-0 loss at Manchester City.
In March, the club announced losses of £9.8m, but £60m worth of loans were written off by owner Tony Fernandes and other shareholders.
A failure to pay any fine imposed could see the London side being refused entry into the Championship.
Football League Financial Fair Play
Championship clubs were permitted losses of £8m (£5m funded by shareholders) in 2013-14.
Clubs promoted back to the Premier League who exceeded those losses are subject to a fine.
There is a sliding scale on the next £10m of losses, with a maximum fine of £6.681m.
Once losses exceed £18m, the fine is imposed on a strict pound-for-pound basis.
Should there be an overall loss of £30m, the fine would be almost £19m. If it was £50m, the figure would be nearly £39m.

Leeds cleared to sign players as transfer embargo lifted
Championship side Leeds United have had their transfer embargo lifted after six months.
BBC Radio Leeds reports that chairman Massimo Cellino has told the station it was lifted last week.
In December they were placed under embargo until the season's end after breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
For the embargo to be lifted, the Championship side will have needed to stay within an operating loss of no more than £3m, with a maximum of £3m of shareholder investment this season.

In Spain this would have be a 3-0 win for the team deemed to be the innocent party.
Blackpool earn a draw from abandoned game
The Football League have decided Blackpool's abandoned game with Huddersfield on the final day of the Championship season will be recorded as 0-0.
The match at Bloomfield Road was abandoned after 48 minutes - without a goal being scored - following a pitch invasion by protesting home fans.
Hundreds of supporters came on to the field, forcing referee Mick Russell to take the players off the pitch and eventually call the game off.
The Football League have also charged Blackpool with failing to fulfil a fixture and the matter will be heard by a Football Disciplinary Commission in due course.

MORE NEWS OF QPR's RETURN TO THE SECOND LEVEL OF ENGLISH FOOTBALL
Queens Park Rangers will not be barred from the Championship despite being accused of breaching Football League regulations.
QPR are alleged to have spent more on salaries than rules allowed when they were in the division two seasons ago.
The London club have been relegated from the Premier League after just one season back in the top flight.
A Football League spokesman said that QPR would be "welcomed" into the Championship.
QPR revealed a £9.8m loss in March but £60m of loans were written off by owner Tony Fernandes and other shareholders.
If the Football League refuses to find the loans acceptable under its Financial Fair Play rules, QPR could be fined by up to £58m.

HERE WE GO AGAIN
Cellino fined for non-payment
Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is fined £28,500 by an Italian court for non-payment of taxes on a four-wheel drive he imported from the USA to Sardinia.
The Football League is waiting for official confirmation of the court's ruling before deciding on whether to take action, Press Association Sport understands.
Cellino was banned from being involved until the end of the season after being found guilty of tax evasion in Italy, returning to his role in May.
Adam Pope Leeds United Commentator
"I have contacted the club to see if this affects his ownership status and the message back was that it seemed unlikely. Cellino was relaxed, I'm told, but no statement is expected from United.
"However, I understand that Cellino, along with others, has to appear in court on 14 September regarding an investigation into the construction of the IS Arenas stadium in Cagliari.
"Those charges include corruption, attempted corruption, unauthorised construction and non-compliance with a public authority order.
"So the obstacles to his continued running of the club are far from overcome it would seem."

Hull City lose FA vote to change name to Tigers for the second time
Hull City start the 2015-16 campaign in the Championship following last season's relegation
The Football Association Council has rejected Hull City's application to change their name to Hull Tigers for the second time.
The Council's decision - carried by a 69.9% vote of its members - followed the recommendation of the governing body's membership committee.
The club's first attempts to change the name were blocked by the council in 2014.
Owner Assem Allam warned he would sell Hull if the change does not happen.
Hull, relegated from the Premier League last season, were told in March they could make a new attempt to change their name.
Allam, who has faced protests from the club's fans over the issue, is convinced that rebranding the club is the only way to bring new investment in from overseas markets.

"There is nothing to say other than players will be paid tomorrow," Latics chairman Simon Corney said.

Bolton Wanderers advisor Trevor Birch has described the club’s plight as ‘increasingly perilous’.
Bolton are bottom of the Championship and it was confirmed yesterday their players have not been paid. Birch says the players are ‘upbeat and committed’.
He says negotiations over a takeover are continuing but the conditions needed to complete a deal are yet to be met. Owner Eddie Davies is not believed to be willing to fund the club any longer.

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed they have received a winding-up petition from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs for about £600,000 in unpaid taxes.
The Championship's bottom club are currently £172.9m in debt.
Despite Bolton asking for more time to raise the money or sell the club, HMRC decided to serve the petition.
"Quite clearly the club remains in a critical financial position," said Trevor Birch, who is acting as financial advisor for Bolton.
"We will continue to try and finalise a sale or alternatively raise some short-term funds needed to give the club breathing space and time in which to consider its options."
If Bolton enter administration they will automatically be deducted 12 points.
