ARE NOTTINGHAM FOREST COMING TO MURCIA?
Nottingham Forest are set to face League One opposition later this summer, as part of their preparations for the new Championship campaign.
Martin O’Neill’s Reds are expected to take on Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United in La Manga during their pre-season trip to the Spanish destination.
It’s believed the Reds will be tested by Posh on Saturday, July 6 with both clubs understood to be close to finalising the fixture in the near future.

2019-2020 PRE SEASON GAMES IN OUR REGION
Nottingham Forest’s pre-season schedule has now been officially finalised, with the Championship club’s pre-season training camp in Spain confirmed - along with two further friendly games.
Forest will face Dundee and Peterborough during a seven-day spell in southern Europe, where their training base will be in the La Finca region of Alicante.
The two games are expected to be played away from their Alicante base, with the clash against Dundee to be held at the Pinatar Arena.
They face Dundee, who are preparing for a return to the Scottish Championship following relegation last season, on Tuesday July 2 and League One Peterborough on Saturday July 6, with the venue for that game still to be confirmed.
I’ll keep on top of this and will update when further details are available.

I REALLY DIDN’T SEE THIS COMING
Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Martin O'Neill after just over five months in the job.
The Northern Irishman, who won two European Cups with the Reds as a player, was appointed manager at the City Ground in January.
His exit comes less than a week after assistant Roy Keane left the club.
Forest were four points outside the Championship play-offs when O'Neill, 67, took charge but he was unable to guide them to a top-six finish.
The former Leicester City, Celtic, Aston Villa and Republic of Ireland boss won eight of his 19 games in charge of the club after replacing Aitor Karanka.
His departure leaves them looking for a 12th permanent boss in eight years.
In a short two-sentence statement on the club website, Forest said they "would like to thank Martin for all his efforts during his time at the City Ground and wish him well for the future

UNCLE ALBERT JOINS THE REDS
Nottingham Forest have made their sixth signing of the summer, with winger ‘Uncle’ Albert Adomah putting pen to paper.
The 31-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Reds and joins as a free agent after being released by Aston Villa.

What links Nottingham Forest to Murcia??? The local 'nearly man' Rafa Mir has moved to the City Ground on a one year loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. He started his career playing futbol sala at El Pozo, moved to the 11-a-side game with Ranero CF and then had spells at Barcelona and Valencia Juniors before breaking into the first team under Nuno Espirito Santo - who is now (guess what!) manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers. In three years, he only made 2 first team appearances at the Mestalla before moving to Wolves last year on a 4.5 year contract! 2 more first team appearances there before he was loaned out to UD Las Palmas in the Spanish Segunda. Another year has passed and he now finds himself at the City Ground.
