Think the lads will be able to share the plane home with the Spanish?
0-1
Just think, if Hodgson had played Lambert instead of Rooney, he would have buried the Gerard free kick, not tamely tapped it against the bar.
EDIT:
Italy 0-1 Costa Rica
Goin' home, goin' home, goin' home.........
I'm watching Dutch TV here (no, don't speak a word!), but they've just commented on an English tweet.....
"After all these years, England are finally as good as Spain." Brilliant!

I hate to say it, but even the French are playing some decent football.

There are a lot of "big" teams getting late, late goal and surviving by the skin of their teeth, Holland, Argentina, Germany just to mention three.
Jammy buggers.

Well the choice tonight is wether to watch England lose to Costa Rica or go to the front and to the Alhambra restaurant for a meal?
That's a hard one.
So it's off to the paseo tonight, I'll have the Chicken Cous Cous and "she who must be obeyed" is having the lamb tagine.
Looks like we weren't the only ones to have a 'bite' tonight. I heard Suarez likes the taste of Italian and this proves it. He's claiming it was an accident, yeah! Same as last time, send him home, if not the opposition will need to wear a string of garlic around their neck and carry wooden stakes just in case.
The bars in the port were empty, no one watching the games at all. This worls cup will cost the bars a fortune this time round.

One team I do hope get a result tonight are the Japanese. They really do play 'without fear'! . . . Well, that was the kiss-of-death for them! It's now Japan 1-2 Colombia.
Two good games tonight. THESE are the teams we want to see. First Greece go ahead to edge out Ivory Coast. Now they get an equaliser to put them back in the driving seat.
Japan hold Colombia for a while to give them a chance - but it's now back to an as-you-were with Colombia and Ivory Coast looking like progressing.
Good stuff. . . . 92nd minute. Penalty to Greece!!! Samaras scores Greece 2-1 Ivory Coast! Colombia and Greece ...
A M A Z I N G! I said it was good stuff!
Colombia 9pts, Greece 4pts, Ivory Coast 3pts, Japan 1pt.

Isn't it great to have some decent football!
Argentina 1-0 Nigeria
1-1
2-1
2-2
3-2
...and now a brilliant hat-trick for the 'Swiss Messi'...Xherdan Shaquiri. Switzerland 3-0 Honduras.

...and there's more good stuff...
Portugal 1-1 Ghana - a draw puts them both out!
USA 0-1 Germany - hands up all who thought it'd be a bore-draw!
Ronaldo puts Portugal ahead 2-1. But they need another 3 goals to catch the USA!
So the USA and Germany go through. Portugal undone by their 0-4 defeat to Germany.

If anyone does doubt how bad England were, just look at the facts.....
Italy beat us, then didn't trouble the scorers again and went home.
Uruguay beat us, then managed a solitary goal before 'ducking-out' at the first knock-out hurdle and going home.
How Hodgson has the nerve to hang around after that performance beats me!
We shall see how Costa Rica do tomorrow, but I'm beginning to think Group D was probably the weakest of the lot and they still couldn't make a success of it.
