The squad must be reading our posts on the forum as today we got ZERO yellow cards 🤗 As opposed to our friends up the road in Alhama who managed TWO reds and SEVEN yellows! All being for players, none for technicos.

Great result this evening with the 2 nil win and as previously mentioned no bookings for us. On Thursday the fed may have to cancel the extra large turkey they were expecting to order for Christmas courtesy of Mazarron's donations. If this continues there is no chance of a new paint job for the ground. Credit to the players this evening they just got on with playing and never got on the wrong side of a decent official. Hopefully they may be learning and only time will tell.

MAZARRON FC 2 BALSICAS ATLETICO 0
Mazarron moved back into third place in the league with a 2-0 home win against Balsicas Atletico although they were made to work very hard by a team struggling at the foot of the league table.
Balsicas started the game brightly with their two central strikers proving a handful for the Mazarron defence without really troubling Dani Caro who was returning to the team in goal. In the first half, Mazarron were mainly restricted to long range efforts from Gato and Alfonso Canovas although the visiting keeper had to make the save of the game diving to his left to turn Basi's drive round the post.
The game sprung to life ten minutes into the second half when Basi made a typical surge into the Balsicas penalty area. His pace took him past the Balsicas keeper who made a rash dive at his feet to bring him down and the referee had no alternative but to award a spot kick. The league's leading goalscorer made no mistake as he stroked the penalty kick into the corner of the net to give Mazarron the lead.
The home team then had their best spell of the game with Basi and Dani Morales causing problems for Balsicas with their lightning pace. Dani wasted a couple of opportunities when he burst clear only to waste his final shots with Basi better placed in the middle waiting for a pass. However he made amends in the 83rd minute when he again used to pace to beat the visiting defenders before firing the ball into the far corner of the net.
Balsicas pushed forward in search of a goal but Dani Caro made a couple of good saves in the closing stages to ensure that Mazarron took all three points.
Mazarron picked up no yellow cards in the game and now only Nuestro Abaran and Balsicas have better disciplinary records than Mazarron so far this season.
Team: Dani Caro; Raul Torrano; Raso; Juan Andreo; Gato; Nacho; Dani Morales; Alfonso Canovas (Pedro); Basi; Andreo; Javi Torrano (Steven).
Man of the Match: Basi
