After this week signing for Kings Lynn Town and making his debut it would appear his non league career has hit a temporary hitch. It would seem he had a suspension hanging over his head from last season playing for Hibs so was unable to feature today for the linnets. Perhaps Señor Holt needs an alias and if it works lend it to Boudia so he can also play every week. The Linnets still won 3-2 against Kings Langley even without Señor Holt.

Angus Gunn, played in goal for England’s under 21’s, currently on loan to Norwich from Man City. Is he Bryn Gunn’s lad?

Angus Gunn, played in goal for England’s under 21’s, currently on loan to Norwich from Man City. Is he Bryn Gunn’s lad? From Wiki........... "Gunn was born in Norwich, Norfolk, to Norwich City's former goalkeeper and manager Bryan and artist Susan Gunn. His father is originally from Caithness in the far north of Scotland."

I thought it was too big a coincidence for it not to be his lad.

Framingham Earl High School former pupil along with Jake Humphrey (off BT sport) and my good self. Last Norwich goalie to play for England was probably Chris Woods .

Oh dear just been corrected on my football knowledge by the missus. What about Robert Green and John Ruddy playing for England? Norwich always need a good goalie as the defence is rubbish!

HE SHOULD SLEEP SOUNDLY OUT THERE AS HE OFTEN DID ON THE WING FOR FOREST
Former Forest striker Grant Holt will sleep rough tonight to raise awareness of homelessness.
Holt had signed up for Norfolk charity The Benjamin Foundation’s annual Sleep Out, which will take place in Norwich this Friday.
However, travel his new club Barrow play Eastleigh so has had to withdraw from Friday night’s event.
Holt will honour his pledge though by sleeping outdoors tonight.🛌

With Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch, Islam Slimani (no, me neither), et al being ruled out, I see Mr Holt may be in the running for the Chelsea front-man job!

I am not sure he would give up the delights of Barrow in Cumbria for the King's Road. Grant Holt will soon be up there with Ian Woosnam for the number of clubs he's had. He'd need a big man cave for all his framed shirts.

IS THIS WHAT PLAYING FOR NORWICH DOES FOR YOU??
Former Nottingham Forest striker Grant Holt has signed the most unlikely of new deals - with a professional wrestling promotion.
Holt, who most recently played for National League side Barrow, has agreed a multi-show contract with World Association of Wrestling (WAW).
The 37-year-old will team up with Rory and Zak Knight, known as the UK Hooligans, at Fightmare 3 in 2019.
However, WAW have suggested he could appear for the company before then.

THANK GOODNESS, GRANT IS STICKING WITH FOOTBALL
Grant Holt has confirmed that his journey into the world of wrestling is only for the benefit of charity and that he will be turning out for National league side Barrow next season.
Phew! I was worried that we might have lost him to the ranks of Hulk Hogan and the undertaker 🤣

GRANT CALLS A HOLT TO HIS PLAYING DAYS
Norwich City legend Grant Holt announces retirement and gives special mention to those who ‘shouted at and booed me’
The former Nottingham Forest, Wigan, Aston Villa and Huddersfield forward has called it quits after playing and coaching at Barrow in the Vanarama National League last season
The former Carrow Road forward has hung up his boots after a 19-year career where he helped the Canaries get back-to-back promotions to the Premier League.
Holt scored 68 goals in 154 games for Norwich City and saw them through two consecutive promotions
Holt, 37, has also dabbled in pro wrestling, but confirmed he is planning to continue pursuing his coaching badges.
He said: "As you all may have seen I have been given the fantastic opportunity to work as a coach at Norwich City and also the fantastic opportunity to work with Langley school developing the talents of tomorrow.
"Due to me committing to both roles, I've decided the time has come to hang my boots up as a professional footballer.
"I would like to thank every fan at all my teams over my career for the amazing support you all gave me
