NEXT HOME GAME
MAZARRON F.C. v C.F. MOLINA-GRUAS LA VARIANTE
8pm Sunday 20th November 2016
A late kickoff folks because of the 'sardine festival' at Bol Nueavo so wrap up well.
We could call this the 'reunion game' with our visitors being lead by Mazarrón FC manager from last season, Victor, and a number of players from last years excellent side having moved to Molina in the summer. I'm sure that you will give them a warm welcome. There is only one point and one place separating the two teams so a close game is anticipated with Mazarrón having home advantage.
LAST WEEKEND
CF Molina first. Our visitors welcomed struggling Montecasillas FC to their ground and sent them away with their tails between their legs following a 5-1 win for Molina with old boys Jose and Palote both scoring against Montecasillas who now sit firmly in the relegation zone.
Mazarrón FC traveled to Alcantarilla where a 1-1 draw seemed to be a fair result in what was a scrappy game. Mazarrón suffered badly from two suspended players and having three key members of the squad either not starting or substituted during the game with injuries. With a full complement of players it could have been so much different.
Last season Mazarrón FC came very much out on top in the two encounters with a thumping 4-1 home win but were held to a 0-0 away draw later in the season. And whilst Mazarrón FC just missed out on the playoffs by one point Molina finished a lowly 13th.
WHO TO LOOK OUT FOR
Palote is Molinas top scorer with 4 but have a number of players on the 3 or 2 mark. Jose has just the 2 so far this season.
CURRENT STATS
10th CF Molina P 12 W 5 D 1 L 6 GF 20 GA 15 Points 16
11th Mazarrón FC P 12 W 4 D 3 L 5 GF 12 GA 13 Points 15
SUSPENSIONS
Details of suspensions will be posted on the Mazarrón forum when available.
