Sat 4th..FC Cartagena lose at home (1-2) to the team one point below them! Not a good result.
Tomorrow is the local Derby...La Hoya vs UCAM Murcia. KO 18:00 (Spanish)
EDIT......well that was a boring evening! 0-0 in Lorca and 0-0 for Cadiz!

Well that's a surprise! FC Cartagena are the only one of our three to pick up points - 3 at that!

19th April....UCAM miss a chance to pick up points as both they and Cadiz lose.
La Hoya pick up a point and move up to 11th. BUT there are only FOUR points covering the bottom half of the table. So 11 teams are still at risk of relegation.
FC Cartagena last out a 0-0 draw but that point moves them nowhere.

26th April...Wins for UCAM and La Hoya but FC Cartagena do UCAM no favours by losing at Cadiz.
La Hoya move up to 10th and now look safe but FC Cartagena are toppling.

3rd May...UCAM draw and Cadiz win so Cadiz are champions. UCAM need one point to be sure of a playoff spot.
La Hoya and Cartagena both lose. La Hoya need one point to be certain of safety, but FC Cartagena are on the edge!

10/5/2015
Bala Azul are hammered 2-6 at home by the team directly below them. They are safe though, just.
Jose Rubén scores, Jose Rubén is booked, no change there then.

La Hoya need one point to be certain of safety, but FC Cartagena are on the edge! UCAM get their playoff place even before their game, with other teams losing this weekend. La Hoya survive another year! The team below them lost today so La Hoya are definitely safe. .....and FC Cartagena scramble 3 precious away points to lift them out of the relegation zone. But they may still need points from their last game to be safe.

Hi, bit random but I'm from England but moving to Puerto de Mazarron in the next few weeks. Just wondering what football teams are close and looking for players? I'm 25 and have played football since a very young age. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers!

Hi Dan
Mazarron FC, who were promoted at the end of last season, will commence training on or about 3rd August and we are always on the lookout for local players.
Being English is no problem as we have had and currently have English lads playing for our senior and junior sides over recent seasons along with players from many other nations.
Keep an eye on this forum for times/dates for the first training session which will take place on the plastic pitches at the sports complex between Mazarron and the port. Just turn up and ask for Jose, the club president, and he will sort you out. Training normally starts at 8pm when it gets a bit cooler.
Try to ensure that your fitness level is good as pre season is fairly intense from the start and it's a bit warm here at the moment.

Hi Steve, thanks for getting back to me. How far is the sports complex from the port? Is that where matches are held as well? Really keen to get involved, looking forward to it. Cheers

The sports complex is halfway along the road between the port and the town of Mazarron, as you leave the port the sports complex is on the left. It has two full size 3G artificial surface pitches and the intention was to build an athletic track a new football stadium and an indoor swimming pool there, then the crisis happened so at the moment it only the two football pitches.
Mazarron FC play in the town at the stadium municipal. The playing surface at the moment is grass although it is supposed to be replaced with a 3G surface.
These are the directions to our home ground BUT travelling from the direction of the Camposol urbanisation:-
The ground is on Av. Juan Carlos 1 In Mazarron town.
from Camposol travel along the dual carriageway RM-3 to Mazarron. Come off at the Mazarron Norte turning.
Drive towards the town passing under the toll motorway. After passing over the crest of the hill with the mines on your right take the left turn just after the 50 KM sign.
Turn left At the second set of traffic lights and the ground is 200 yards on the left after the school.
if you go to the golf club on Camposol on Thursday at 4pm the supporters club will be there at their weekly meeting. Advise can be also obtained from Dave at the Costa cafe, next to the consum supermarket in Camposol.
hope that helps.
