Although playing under the title of Mazarron FC our juveniles have reverted to being under the umbrella of Mazarron Futbol base.
This will allow the board of the Mazarron FC to concentrate purely on senior team.

FINAL SCORE
MAZARRON FC 1 LORCA CFB 4
So the first day of a new season with almost a completely new juvenile team including many of last seasons cadete side who struggled last year only securing their place in the league in the last couple of games.
Most of last seasons excellent and promotion winning juvenile side are now seniors with numerous key plays now long gone.
The first half of today's game our boys were a match for Lorca in most department and only went behind following a fine save by Pablo but the rebound fell kindly for an opponent who slammed the ball home, unfortunate.
HALF TIME Mazarron 0 Lorca 1
The second half started really badly for Mazarron when the conceded 2 soft goals in the first 4 minutes following defensive errors.
Mazarron got back into the game follow great work by our number 12, Pedro, who had just arrived on the pitch following a substitution. As the ball was crossed the visiting keeper was well beat and a defender beat the ball out on the line with his hand = red card = penalty = goal!!!! Alfonso scoring for Mazarron.
GAME ON
Mazarron then took the game to 10 man Lorca but their defence held firm and as the home side pushed forward they left holes at the back and from a long punt down field by their keeper found a Lorca striker in space. He trapped the high ball swivelled and buried into the net.
Game over
There are many reasons for confidence in our juvenile side for the upcoming season but the defence, missing many of last seasons stalwarts, must tighten up.

NEXT AWAY GAME
EF SANTA ANA v MAZARRÓN FC
6.15pm (18.15) Saturday 10th September
Second game of the season.
Two sides licking their wounds face each other this weekend with Mazarron FC losing 1-4 at home and Santa Ana losing 2-1 away at Molina.
There should be an edge to this game as it was Santa Ana who pipped us to top spot last season.
The last time these two sides met the final score was:-
Mazarron FC 6 v Santa Ana 0
but, in the case of Mazarron FC, there have been many changes of personnel, just hoping for a similar result though.

THREE POINTS ON THE BOARD
ESCUELA DE FUTBOL SANTA ANA- CARTAGENA 1 v MAZARRON F.C. 2 Mazarron goal scorer
Alfonso GARCIA LIETOR (2)
And Mazarrón FC only had 2 subs?
This was a game of two penalties with Mazarrón taking the lead only to be pulled back level with a Santa Ana penalty then a late, late spot kick giving the boys in red all three points.

Mazarrón FC juveniles v Torre Pacheco juveniles
6pm (18.00) SUNDAY 18th September
To be played at our home ground, the Estadio municipalOur juvenile side returns home following an excellent away win against Santa Ana 1-2 with Mazarróns winning goal coming in the 89th minute via the penalty spot. Torre Pacheco have started the season like a steam train with two wins from two games scoring six and conceding none. Whilst Mazarrón have won one and lost one, not too bad seeing as it's their first season at this higher level and having lost a number of their best players due to age restrictions. So if you can't get to the senior away game at Balsicas why not pop along and see the next generation of Mazarrón football. FREE ENTRY

FINAL SCORE
Mazarrón FC juveniles 0 v Torre Pacheco juveniles 5
I don't think, or should I say hope, that we will come across another team as organised as this Torre Pacheco unit.
I was informed by our old president Jose that our visitors are supported by Alicante and their coach is one of the best around.
But in all honesty for the first 40 minutes there wasn't much between the two sides with Mazarron having the best of the first half and could have been a couple of goals up. But the game was turned on its head in three minutes when two bits of slack defending led to two simply taken goal. After that there was only ever one team in it.
In the second half Mazarron never really got out of their own half and conceded three further fine goal.
A lesson learned by our lads I hope and I just hope that we don't face such good opponents in the future.

NEXT AWAY GAME
MULEÑO CF v MAZARRÓN FC
6.30pm (18.30) Saturday 24th September
This is a chance for our juvenile side to but last weekends game behind them as they take on the side sitting just one place above them in the shape of Muleño.
Mazarrón come to this game on the back of a 0-5 home drumming by an excellent Torre Pacheco side hoping to repeat their last away trip which gave them three valuable points.
Last weekend Muleño lost 3-0 away but stay above Mazarrón on goal difference.
Further details will be published here when available
