FOXES APPOINTS SHAKESPEARE UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON Can he keep them up? Craig Shakespeare will be offered the Leicester City manager's job until the end of the season, according to our colleagues at BBC Radio Leicester . Shakespeare was Claudio Ranieri's assistant, and has been caretaker boss since the Italian was sacked in February. The Foxes have since won both of their games with Shakespeare in charge. The 53-year-old has never managed full-time, and was brought to Leicester by Ranieri's predecessor, Nigel Pearson.

AND ANOTHER
Bristol City have sacked former Nottingham Forest coach John Pemberton with the club languishing in the bottom three and just 10 games remaining to preserve their Championship status.
The 52-year-old was assistant manager to head coach Lee Johnson, spending the last four years at Ashton Gate before being dismissed prior to the Robins' 1-1 draw with Norwich on Tuesday night.

SO ENDS NORWICH HOPES OF PROMOTION THIS SEASON
Norwich City have sacked manager Alex Neil after just over two years in charge at the Championship club.
Neil, 35, helped the Canaries earn promotion to the Premier League after joining the club in January 2015, but they suffered relegation last season.
City had failed to win in five games under the former Hamilton boss, leaving them nine points outside the top six.
First-team coach Alan Irvine will take charge of the team for Saturday's game with relegation-threatened Blackburn.
Alan Pardew, 55, is the favourite to be Norwich City's next manager after Alex Neil was sacked.

WHERE WILL MARK WARBURTON GO TO?
Nottingham Forest managerial target Mark Warburton has been linked with the vacant Norwich City job.
The Canaries sacked Alex Neil on Friday night after five games without a win, which left them nine points outside the top six and facing a battle to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
According to The Sun, Warburton, as well as another man previously linked with the Reds in Gary Rowett, and Alan Pardew are all interested in taking charge at Carrow Road.
Warburton had already been high on Forest's shortlist of managerial targets as a long-term replacement for Philippe Montanier, and the club want to try to secure his services in the summer.

AND I THOUGHT THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BARD 😜
Craig Shakespeare has been appointed Leicester City manager until the end of the season.
The 53-year-old has been in caretaker charge since Claudio Ranieri was sacked on 23 February, nine months after winning the Premier League title.
Shakespeare, who has never managed full-time, was Ranieri's assistant after being brought to the club by the Italian's predecessor, Nigel Pearson.
Leicester have won both of their games with him in charge.

ANOTHER LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER
Gary Rowett could be in the Derby County dugout when they take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Rowett was understood to be close to taking the Forest job earlier this season, before a proposed takeover led by John Jay Moores collapsed in January.
Now the former Birmingham boss is reportedly poised to replace former Reds manager Steve McClaren, who was sacked on Sunday night.
Former Derby defender Rowett is the 8/1 on favourite with Sky Bet to return to Pride Park, with the Daily Telegraph reporting Rowett is the man chairman Mel Morris wants.

WIGAN PULL THE TRIGGER
Wigan Athletic have sacked manager Warren Joyce after just 22 games in charge.
The Latics, who are four points from safety with nine games to go, have put Joyce's assistant Graham Barrow in charge for the rest of the season.
The former Manchester United Under-21s coach was appointed in November, winning five, drawing five and losing 12 of his games.
Chairman David Sharpe said: "It is unfortunate that we have made this decision but with the team in such a perilous position in the league, we need to act now because we cannot afford to fall any further behind.

FOREST SIGN NEW BOSS
Nottingham Forest have appointed Mark Warburton as their new manager.
The former Brentford and Rangers boss had been a summer target for the Reds – but Fawaz Al Hasawi has now the 54-year-old to the City Ground to take charge of the weekend visit of Derby County.
It is understood that there were one or two hurdles left to overcome before Warburton's appointment could be announced, following the Londoner's recent messy departure from Glasgow giants Rangers.
And Al Hasawi is keen for Warburton to start work as soon as possible, to help arrest the club's slide towards the wrong end of the Championship table. He has signed a three-year contract.
HOW QUICK MANAGERS CHANGE
In the last 5 meetings between Forest and Derby both sides have had different managers
The full managerial combinations are as follows (Forest manager named first):
January 2015: Stuart Pearce v Steve McClaren (Forest won 2-1)
November 2015: Dougie Freedman v Paul Clement (Forest won 1-0)
March 2016: Paul Williams v Darren Wassall (Derby won 1-0)
December 2016: Philippe Montanier v Steve McClaren (Derby won 3-0)
March 2017: Mark Warburton v Gary Rowett

MEANWHILE OVER IN NORWICH
Nigel Pearson has applied for the vacant Norwich job as Celtic talent spotter David Moss emerged as a contender for a key Carrow Road role.
Former Leicester and Derby manager Pearson is keen on the Canaries hotseat as he looks to get back into the game, Press Association Sport understands.
Pearson left Derby last October after less than five months at Pride Park, having taken charge of just 14 games.
He is expected to be interviewed but his occasionally abrasive style is unlikely to be attractive to Norwich owner Delia Smith, who has now ruled out a move for Alan Pardew as she does not feel he is the right fit for the club.
Pearson was involved in several odd incidents at Leicester, including arguing with fans, grappling with Crystal Palace's James McArthur and calling a journalist an ostrich.
He also left Derby under a cloud after a reported row with owner Mel Morris.
Norwich have already missed out on Gary Rowett, who became Derby's third manager of the season on Monday, while Mark Warburton - who was interviewed by the Canaries in January 2015 - joined Nottingham Forest this week.
Roy Hodgson remains an option and he is in close contact with owner Smith, with the pair long-term friends.
The former England manager has been out of work since he quit as Three Lions boss following their embarrassing Euro 2016 exit to Iceland last summer.
Press Association Sport understands he has been acting as a sounding board for Smith, who is leaning heavily on his advice.
Hodgson could still take the manager's job but the Canaries would not be able to pay the wages he previously commanded, so his relationship with Smith and husband Michael Wynn-Jones is key.
Norwich are looking for a new boss after Alex Neil was sacked with the club nine points adrift of the Sky Bet Championship play-offs after relegation from the Premier League last season.

AND IN MIDDLESBROUGH
Middlesbrough have sacked manager Aitor Karanka after three and a half years at the club.
Boro are winless in their last 10 Premier League games and currently sit in the relegation zone, three points from safety with 11 games remaining.
They are also the league's lowest scorers with just 19 goals and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City last weekend.
Assistant head coach Steve Agnew will take control of the first team.
