ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
Owen Coyle has resigned as Ross County manager after just five months in charge at the struggling Scottish Premiership club.
The 51-year-old took over in September last year, leaving with them three points adrift at the bottom.
County won four of their 21 league matches under Coyle, whose assistant Sandy Stewart has also quit.

A SCOUSE UP FOR THE ‘GER’s JOB?
Former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard is on a shortlist to become the new manager of Rangers.
The 37-year-old, who is currently a Liverpool academy coach, has been highlighted as a possible replacement for Graeme Murty.
Murty was put in place until the end of the season after a spell as interim boss following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha in October.
But he is unlikely to be given the job on a permanent basis.

I THOUGHT HE’D ALREADY GONE
With all the talk of Stevie Gerard I thought this guy had already packed his bags.
Graeme Murty has been sacked as Rangers manager following Sunday's 5-0 hammering by Scottish champions Celtic.
"He will take some time to consider his options, which include returning to his role at the Rangers academy," said the Glasgow club.
In December, the 43-year-old had been given the job until the end of the season after a spell in interim charge following Pedro Caixinha's sacking.

ALAN’S NOT A BUDDY ANYMORE
Manager Alan Stubbs has left St Mirren after less than three months in charge.
The 46-year-old, who won the Scottish Cup with Hibernian in 2016, replaced Jack Ross at the Simple Digital Arena in June.
The Buddies sit second-bottom of the Premiership after one win and three successive defeats.
"Careful consideration was given to this decision," St Mirren said in a statement. "The search for a new manager will begin immediately."
The club hope to have a new manager in charge for their next match, at home to Celtic on 14 September, and a board meeting will be held later this week.
Coach Brian Rice will take the first team for training in the interim.

McCANN LEAVES THE DEN
Neil McCann has left his role as Dundee manager with the side bottom of the Scottish Premiership after seven defeats in eight games.
McCann, 44, had been in charge at Dens Park since April 2017.
A run of six straight league losses ended with victory at Hamilton but another defeat followed at home to Kilmarnock on 6 October.

HIBS LOOKING FOR A NEW BOSS
Hibernian have suspended head coach Neil Lennon and it is unlikely he will take charge of the Scottish Premiership team again, the BBC has learned.
It follows an exchange between the Northern Irishman and several employees of the Easter Road club on Friday.
The 47-year-old is not expected to be in charge for Sunday's league match against St Mirren.

MUSICAL CHAIRS STARTS UPIN SCOTLAND
Could Neil Lennon be on his way back to Celtic?
While I am of course keeping an eye first and foremost on what happens with Brendan Rodgers and his discussions with Leicester City, it is worth noting growing rumours that former Celtic and Hibernian manager Neil Lennon could be the man to replace him.
During his four years as manager from 2010 to 2014, Lennon won three league titles and two Scottish Cups.

AS PREDICTED
Neil Lennon says it is "an honour" to have been asked to manage Celtic for a second time after Brendan Rodgers completed his move to Leicester City.
Lennon, 47, will take charge until the end of the season, starting with Wednesday's Scottish Premiership game against Hearts at Tynecastle.
The Northern Irishman returns to the club he led to three titles from 2011, having left Hibernian last month.

"Hapless Scotland suffered one of the most abject defeats in their history in their opening Euro 2020 qualifier against world-ranked 117 Kazakhstan.
Alex McLeish's callow side were two down inside 10 minutes in Astana ..........."
Finally losing 3-0!

EX FOREST BOSS GETS THE BULLET
Alex McLeish has left his position as Scotland head coach by mutual consent.
The 60-year-old took on a second spell in charge in February last year but has been under pressure because of recent poor results and performances.
The Scottish FA said in a statement: "The decision was agreed collectively by the board at its scheduled meeting today and in consultation with Alex.
"His assistant coaches, Peter Grant, James McFadden and Stevie Woods, will also leave their roles."

DUNDEES CAKE IS UP FOR A REMIX
Dundee manager Jim McIntyre has left the club after his side's relegation from the Scottish Premiership.
It comes a day after the Dark Blues ended a run of 10 consecutive defeats with a 1-0 win away to Livingston.
But their relegation had already been confirmed after last weekend's loss to Hamilton Academical.
"Dundee Football Club can confirm that Jim McIntyre and Jimmy Boyle have left the club with immediate effect," Dundee said in a club website statement.

NEW SCOTTISH MANAGER IN WAITING
Yesterday Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke bid farewell to his team. His side confirmed their third-place finish in the Ladbrokes Premiership after Eamonn Brophy's late penalty sealed a 2-1 win against Rangers at Rugby Park.
With the Killie boss expected to be named the new Scotland manager this week, Clarke was hoping to leave on the back of the Ayrshire outfit's highest league finish since 1966.
And Clarke - watching from the stands after receiving a ban for criticising referee Steven McLean - got his wish as Brophy drilled home from the spot in the 89th-minute.
