At last It was announced on Saturday that funding to convert the main road between Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón into a dual carriageway is closer following cash being secured to build the roundabout at the Complejo Depotivo De Mazarron.
€600,000 has now been secured to get the traffic island built with the whole road between the town and port being upgraded to a dual carriageway in the future, but be aware this road has also been highlighted as one of the location where new speed traps will be installed. The speed limit for this road is only 60 KPH so be aware and slow down.

"...in the future..."
Could be a great title for a Village People comeback.

They started work on the speed traps last week, there will be at least one opposite the Red Cross station at the Mazarron end of the road. So they can start income generating work at speed (sorry for the pub) but the road works for the publics safety and convenience? Y.M.C.A. all together now Y.M.C.A

TRAFFIC ROUNDABOUT FINISHED
The traffic roundabout at the sports complex is now complete, lines painted on the road, signs erected and one of the biggest Spanish flags I've ever seen has been hoisted on the flag pole planted in the center of the traffic island.
How long before that blows away or gets nicked?

So it's now a 100k down the straights, 20k round the island, and you're still within the 80k average for the road then?
