THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG DID IT?
Sheffield United have appointed Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder to replace the sacked Nigel Adkins.
The 51-year-old was dismissed on Thursday after the Blades missed out on the League One play-offs.

BIT OF A SUPRISE THIS ONE.
Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores will leave the Premier League club at the end of the season.
The Spaniard, 51, was appointed in June 2014 following the club's promotion from the Championship.
The Hornets are 13th in the Premier League, but have won just two of their past 11 top-flight games.
Sanchez, who also guided Watford to the FA Cup semi-finals, will leave after the final game of the season - against Sunderland at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY
Cardiff City have held talks with 31-year-old first team coach James Rowberry about the possibility of becoming Russell Slade's successor.
Rowberry joined the club's academy in 2013, having previously spent four years working alongside the first team and development side at Newport County.
Slade was removed as manager at the end of the season with the club now looking to appoint a head coach.

BRAINTREE LOSE THEIR MANAGER
Danny Cowley has been appointed as Lincoln City's new manager after resigning as boss of fellow National League club Braintree Town.
The 36-year-old led part-time Braintree to the play-offs, where they lost to Grimsby, in his first season in charge. Cowley, who had combined his Iron job with work as a PE teacher, has signed a two-year deal and will be assisted by his brother Nicky at Sincil Bank.
Lincoln were without a boss after Chris Moyses left at the end of the season. Former Concord Rangers boss Cowley previously said he wanted to work in full-time management and is set to take over at a club that was in the Football League as recently as 2011.
Braintree chairman Lee Harding (Who has a place on the country club and supports Mazarron FC) told BBC Essex: "Being fair to Danny and Nick, if they think this is the right opportunity for them going forward, we understand and support it.
"This is not about what they're doing as their hobby, this will be their full-time job and if they decide the package they're being offered is worthwhile giving up what they do in their day job then it's a big step for them and I hope they get it right.
"With the news that broke earlier in the week, we've already had people calling asking us to think of them which is nice. We will advertise the post and I would imagine we'll have a lot of applications."
BBC Essex's Glenn Speller
"It's no surprise the Cowley brothers have caught the attention of other clubs after three promotions with Concord and a stunning third-place finish with Braintree on one of the National League's smallest budgets.
"The slight surprise is it being Lincoln who've managed to snare them. Other clubs were rumoured to be interested with Tranmere and Notts County in the frame.
"But it's Lincoln who showed the courage of their convictions and put money on the table. It's a risk for the brothers with Lincoln's budget by no means the biggest and they're now at a club with higher expectations. But, knowing the amount of detail they go into and hard work they put in, I would expect them to be a success

McCann made 185 appearances in four and a half years as a player for the club.
The ex-midfielder becomes chairman Darragh MacAnthony's eighth managerial appointment since January 2007

IT'S GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOUR NEW MANAGER IS SQUEAKY CLEAN
Chelsea manager-elect Antonio Conte has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a match-fixing scandal from 2011.
The 46-year-old, who will lead Italy at Euro 2016 next month, was accused of doing nothing to halt a scandal while in charge of Italian side Siena.
However, a judge in Cremona acquitted Conte because the accusations of sporting fraud were baseless.
Conte, who served a ban in connection with the case in 2012, will take charge of Chelsea after the Euros.
In August 2012, while coach of Juventus, the former Italy international was banned for 10 months for not reporting alleged match-fixing in two games involving Siena in the 2010-11 season.
This was later reduced to four by an Italian sports tribunal and Conte became coach of his national team in August 2014.
