Local interest tonight with Real Murcia against Cadiz at the Nueva Condomina in the first round.
TV coverage shows how poorly attended games there are now!
20 mins gone still 0-0.
35 mins...Murcia 0-1 Cadiz.
Half-time.
In the other game of interest, it's Linares 1-1 Jumilla.
UCAM Murcia have a bye this round and La Hoya and Cartagena did not qualify under the complicated qualification rules.
94 mins and the hand-of-god was seen by el arbi so it ends 0-1 to Cadiz.
Jumilla also go out losing 2-1 to Linares.

We lost but a great week away.

BARCELONA v VILLANOVENSE
Half-time and the 2B team are holding their own. 0-0
Mind you, you wouldn't recognise Barca's line up.....
BARCELONA: Masip, Douglas, Bartra, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Kaptoum, Samper, Gumbau, Munir, Adriano y Sandro.
But they have a few familiar names on the bench...
Ter Stegen, Alves, Jordi Alba, Rakitic y Aitor.
10 mins to go and it's still 0-0 !!!
Tha magic of the Copa!
0-0, so Villanovense get to start on equal terms in the Camp Nou in the second leg.

REAL MADRID TO BE THROWN OUT OF THE CUP?
Real Madrid could face disqualification from the Copa del Rey after fielding an ineligible player in their fourth-round win over Cadiz, report Spanish media. Denis Cheryshev, 24, gave Real the lead but the Russian should have been serving a one-game ban, say reports.
Newspaper AS has published a document showing he received three bookings in the domestic cup competition while on loan at Villarreal last season.
This first-leg tie was the first opportunity he had to serve the ban.
Real boss Rafael Benitez was manager of Valencia when they were disqualified from the Copa del Rey - the Spanish Cup - having played too many non-European Union players in a tie against Novelda in 2001.
Last season Osasuna were kicked out of the tournament for playing an ineligible player after Unai Garcia was selected in the win over Mirandes despite having been sent off the previous season.
Cadiz will have to report the situation to the Spanish Football Federation on Thursday.
The club's Twitter feed, said during the game: "The Board of Directors of @cadiz-CF will meet at the end of the match."
Cheryshev was taken off moments after half-time as a double from Isco secured victory for the 19-time Copa del Rey winners, with Kike Marquez scoring a late goal for the hosts.

Marca has published the incriminating fax which was sent to all participating clubs on 27 July 2015!

Turns out there's a local interest to this saga!
Real Madrid deny receiving the fax and, if punished, are likely to appeal using a previous case involving the goalkeeper of Lorca Deportiva Féminas team, Laura Gallego. In 2014, Lorca said a sanctions' notification fax had been sent to an obsolete phone number and they didn't receive it. The appeals committee found in their favour.
All Los Blancos need to do then is quickly change their fax number!

I DON'T BELIEVE IT
Real Madrid have been expelled from the Copa del Rey for fielding an ineligible player against Cadiz on Wednesday.
Denis Cheryshev opened the scoring in Real's 3-1 win over the third-tier side in the first leg of their last-32 tie.
The Russian winger, 24, should have been serving a one-match ban - imposed while he was on loan at Villarreal last season - but he and Real claim they were not informed before the game.
Real have won the competition 19 times, with their last success in 2014.

No-one seems to have told Real Madrid that they have been kicked out of the Copa Del Rey.
At least that’s how it seems – the club are still advertising their second leg tie against Cadiz game despite being expelled for fielding an ineligible player in the first leg.

Second, and final, appeal to the Tribunal Administrativo del Deporte tomorrow.

Ah...not quite 'final'!
Spanish bureaucracy, don't you just love it!
"Real Madrid have failed in a court appeal to get their Copa del Rey expulsion temporarily suspended while they await the outcome of their appeal. The 19-time winners were thrown out of the competition for fielding suspended Denis Cheryshev in the first leg of their last-32 tie with Cadiz. He scored in a 3-1 win, but was banned from a loan spell at Villarreal. Real had still been hoping to play the second leg on Wednesday, but now accept this will not happen. Spain's administrative court for sport (TAD) ruled there were no grounds to suspend the decision of the Spanish football federation (RFEF) to expel Real, but is yet to decide on the appeal itself." (BBCSport)
Apparently, they did not have enough bits of paper - or the right bits anyway.

....and on and on an don an don an don...................
The TAD should have done something (anything!) yesterday (Friday) but still some papers did not arrive. Next week is Christmas so the next chance for the issue to be discussed will be 28th December.
Just to recap....Real Madrid have been thrown out of the Copa. So all this is about an appeal by them. They have said, should the appeal to the TAD fail, they will seek redress through the civil courts!
