And with Real Murcia playing at the Nueva Condomina - KO at 6.30 - I would suggest giving the Murcia town shopping a miss this week.

Fun and games on the Av. Juan Carlos I (the one in Murcia, not the one in Mazarrón)!
One fractured collarbone, one lot of concussion and several other scrapes and bruises following a major coming together.
Chris Froome moves up one place due to the retirements.

The latest news is that the concussion became more serious and the Belgian cyclist, Kris Boeckmans, is now in Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital.
Furthermore, the stage winner, Jasper Stuyven (also Belgian), who had been involved in the accident, had to retire from the race because an x-ray found his wrist had been broken!
There was more fun-and-games later when one rider was hit by a following motorcyclist and he has also had to retire. Professional cycling is not for the faint-hearted!
Today sees the uninjured tacking the Alicante coast from Torrevieja to Benitatxell.

Stage 9 yesterday was good for Froome - now up to 8th.
Stage 10 today is north from Valencia.

Move into BED more likely! What a plonker. Uphill climb....no speed...into the barrier! Down to 15th, 7+ mins down on the leader.

No real interest after Froome's retirement.
But, after 18 of 21 stages, Murcia's Alejandro Valverde is in 6th place, 3+ minutes adrift.
