Philosophy of football
Anyone know what a head of football philosophy is?
Well Brentford now have one after the appointment of Flemming Pedersen.
The 52-year-old "will work as part of the first team coaching staff" and will be "responsible for setting out Brentford's football philosophy and structuring individual development plans for players".

GOODBYE, YOU'LL BE MISSED......NOT
Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino has agreed in principle to sell his share in the club to supporters' group Leeds Fans United.
The Italian, who is currently appealing against a Football League ban, met with fans on Friday.
He said he would sell his majority share, without making a profit.
"100% I will sell to the fans, if they want to buy it and look after the club. The fans are the only asset the club has," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

OK....settle down for the BIG one.
Forget El Classico, this the real McCoy.
Brentford versus QPR.
Nearly 12 years since they last met. No win for Brentford in over 50 years!!!
The Bees have not beaten the Hoops since a 6-1 win in August 1965 and last faced Rangers at Griffin Park in February 2004.
Alan Judge versus Charlie Austin.
It's gonna get HOT inside Griffin Park. A 12,500 sell-out.
........5....4....3....2....1....we're off....
20 mins gone and it's 1-1....yellow cards that is!
25 mins and yellows go to 1-2. Warming up nicely.
Half-time and still stalemate. 0-0.
FANTASTIC. The incomparable Stan Bowles is here! 300+ games for QPR and finishing his career at Brentford.
55 mins.....WE'RE SUPER BRENTFORD, SUPER BRENTFORD FC.
WE'RE BY FAR THE GREATEST TEAM, THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN.
1-0!!! Marco Djuricin.
80 mins and the yellows keep mounting for the Rangers....1-3.
86 mins and a stupid card for Djuricin makes it 2-3.
50 years of hurt laid to rest!
BRENTFORD 1-0 QUEENS PARK RANGERS.
Break out the San Miguel!

And it's another big 'un tonight as the East Mids derby gets underway in half an hour.
5 mins....Oliveira gives Forest the lead.
Half time.....1-0.
They hang on. A fabulous Friday for Forest!
Forest 1-0 Derby.
(But not so good for the Magpies up the road....Salford 2-0 Notts Co.)

Birmingham City vs Brentford
55 mins.
If it wasn't to be Clayton Donaldson who was the undoing of the Bees, it just had to be Jon Toral. Just misses with a flyer only to then set up Maghoma to put Birmingham one up.
Jon Toral....Barca Academy, Arsenal, Brentford (loan), Birmingham (loan).
Back in the game for 10 mins then undone in the last minute. The Bees were the ones for 90 min goals but not this season!
Final 2-1.

Extract from today's BBC Sport page Brentford vs Blackburn Rovers:
"Dean Smith only has a 26% win rate as manager of Brentford, his predecessor, Mark Warburton, had a win rate of 51%."
Looks like the sub-editors have been reading the Mazarron FC forum too.
. . . . . . . <----------------------------
Widely read and respected the world over!!!
(EDIT: But they need to amend the stat now!)

A DEBT TO MAKE YOUR EYES WATER
Manager Paul Lambert hopes Blackburn Rovers' owners will clarify plans after debts of more than £100m were revealed in accounts released to shareholders.
Rovers will lose the services of director Alan Myers, who has decided to stand down from his post having joined the club in February 2014.
Venky's, run by the Rao family that owns the club, are based in India.
"There has to be leadership and talking about how to reduce the debt," Lambert told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I saw the accounts like they were, you can't just magic that sort of thing out of the air.
"There are a lot of football fans that watch, it's their club, I'm sure they want to know what's going on."
Debts of £102.4m were revealed on the day Rovers' Lancashire rivals Burnley announced a profit of £30.1m, while Bolton Wanderers had reported debts of £172.9m before their recent takeover.
