CANT SEE THIS AFFECTING MAZARRON FC BUT..........
Spanish domestic football to be suspended
The Spanish football federation says it is suspending all end-of-season games in disputes with the government, including over TV rights.
A statement by the federation said it was unhappy with being awarded only 4.55% of pools revenue, though it said it was still open to dialogue.
All matches will be suspended from 16 May, including the domestic cup final.
In the top division, Barcelona lead La Liga rivals Real Madrid by two points, with only three games left to play.

MORE INFORMATION
The Spanish football federation says it is suspending indefinitely all end-of-season games in disputes with the government, including over TV rights.
A federation statement (in Spanish) said it was also unhappy with receiving only 4.55% of pools revenue, though it said it was still open to dialogue.
All matches will be suspended from 16 May, including the domestic cup final.
In the top division, Barcelona lead La Liga rivals Real Madrid by two points, with only three games left to play.
In the statement, the RFEF federation said it had acted after three months of talks with the government had failed to resolve the dispute.
It said more than 600,000 players and 30,000 matches across the country would be affected by the suspension.
'Players unhappy'
However, it also stressed: "At the same time, and yet again, we reiterate the offer of dialogue to the Spanish government."
The RFEF acted after the government last week approved a new law on collective bargaining for TV rights.
The law - which still needs to be approved by parliament - aims to regulate the rights to broadcast matches in Spain's first and second divisions.
The government has so far made no public comment on the federation's statement. "The initial assumption is that this move has been taken in an attempt to head off a players' strike which had been threatened for that weekend," said Andy West, a Spanish football expert. "Players are unhappy with some terms of the deal, including the low percentage of revenue on offer to lower league clubs.
"The issue of TV rights is a long-running one with most people recognising that Barca and Real receive far too much at the moment. Realigning it is not easy though," Mr West added.

Assuming the results go our way on Sunday to guarantee a playoff place, it may be worthwhile for José to organise a friendly for the 16th/17th to keep the lads focussed.
Looks like Lorca Dep. or Totana will be in the playoffs in the Preferente. Either of those may want a game and it'd be a good test for our boys.
Then I'll have a game to watch!!!
(ps...I can't see anything yet on the Murcia Fed. pages.)

The BBC are reporting:
Court to decide over strike
Posted at 15:28 11/05/2015
A Spanish court is likely to decide on Wednesday the legality of a strike protesting against a new TV rights law called by the players' union (AFE), which is threatening the final two La Liga match days and King's Cup final.
The AFE announced last week that players would go on strike indefinitely from 16 May, prompting the professional league (LFP), which represents the 42 clubs in the top two divisions, filed a petition to have the action declared illegal.

Player 'stabbed' in Spain
Some worrying news to bring you from Spain, where a regional club says one of its players has been injured after being stabbed by a spectator following a match.
Spokesman Salvador Ferrer, of Alhaurin de la Torre, told Associated Press that the attack occurred after Sunday's match between the club's B-team playing away at rivals El Palo.
Ferrer says the player - whose name was not released - was stabbed on the pitch after the end of the game.
A spokesperson for Malaga's Hospital Regional told AP the 24-year-old player is in a "serious but stable condition'' after being treated for two stab wounds to his chest. Ferrer says the police are investigating.

SPAINS OLDEST CLUB GOING OUT OF BUISNESS
Recreativo de Huelva. Never heard of them? Founded in 1889 by two Englishmen, they're Spain's oldest football club, but are now in real financial trouble and are facing "extinction".

I DON'T BELIEVE IT
WALES have gone above Spain in the latest world rankings released by Fifa.
The Dragons, who reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, went up one spot while the team that won successive European championships and a World Cup in a dominant four-year spell dropped to 11th.
Julen Lopetegui’s side are sandwiched between Wales and Sam Allardyce’s England.
Northern Ireland dropped two spots to 30th, the Republic stayed in 31st while Scotland jumped seven places to 44th.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT WALES have gone above Spain in the latest world rankings released by Fifa. June was a bad month for Spain. Beaten by Georgia, Croatia and Italy. I assume this month's wins against Belgium and Liechtenstein aren't included.

MATCH FIXING IN SPAIN? NO, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT 😜
An Italian coach has been arrested by Spanish police investigating allegations of match-fixing.
Filippo di Pierro, the boss of Spanish third division side Eldense, was arrested after his side's 12-0 defeat by Barcelona's B team on Saturday.
There is no indication Barcelona B were involved in any wrongdoing.
Di Pierro, who joined the club in January, was hired by an unnamed Italian investment group that has since severed ties with the club.
The defeat, a joint record for Spain's third tier, sealed Eldense's relegation.
The following day the club said they would not play any more matches this season, but later backtracked and confirmed the fixtures would be honoured.
What happened during the game?
In an interview with Spanish radio station, Cadena Ser, Eldense defender Emmanuel Mendy said the club's assistant coach, Fran Ruiz, had spoken to him about a plan to fix the game.
"He asked me if I was in and how much I wanted and if I wasn't in then I wouldn't play," said Mendy.
Ruiz also spoke to Cadena Ser and reportedly said: "In principle the orders came from above, from the coach.
"I didn't know what to do, I was between a rock and a hard place.
"I didn't say a word in the dugout, I made no substitutions and I didn't send anyone out to warm up. Then I resigned from the club."
Barcelona first-team coach Luis Enrique has also commented on the situation, which he described as "very delicate".
"It's exclusively related to Eldense," he said. "Barca B have nothing to do with it and is another victim of this racketeering.
"I'm glad that it's being investigated and is being taken seriously."

What happened to Eldense could have happened to FC Jumilla.
The same "unnamed Italian investment group", fronted by the same Nobile Capuani, ran Jumilla in 2015/16 until an apparent financial irregularity (!) occurred in March 2016 prior to a game against San Roque de Lepe.
They were booted out before if could become a fixing problem.
At the time, Jumilla were on the verge of relegation from Segunda B and only eventually survived due to a better head-to-head rating.
Eldense (Elda) is only 50 km from Jumilla. Why did the Eldense management let them in???
