NEXT GAME Saturday 7th or Sunday 8th February 2015
ROLDAN AC vs MAZARRÓN FC
This is 2nd placed Roldan taking on 11th placed Mazarron with both sides doing well recently.
Last October Roldad visited Mazarron and left with one point in a 1-1 draw. Since those early days for our segunda team Mazarron have improved weekly under the supervision of Jose so I think that they could cause a bit of a shock next weekend.

NEXT GAME
MAZARRÓN FC vs AD BARIO PERAL
No game next weekend so this match is scheduled for:
Saturday 28th February or 1st March 2015
Mazarron FC will be taking on top side Bario Peral in a fortnight on the back of a great 1-5 away win but Bario Peral stormed to a 9-0 home win last time out!!!!
Last time that they met was in October of 2014 when our boys lost 8-1 but under the guidance of Jose they have steadily risen in the table and we hope that this will be a much closer encounter.

NEXT GAME to be played at our home ground
Mazarron FC v Minerva
Kickoff 5.30pm (17.30) Saturday 21st March
Only two places separate 8th placed Mazarron and 6th placed Minerva but there are nine points between these sides.
They met in early November last year when the result was a 3-1 win for the home side, Minerva, but as I've said before this segunda juvenile team put together by Jose are improving game by game even though there is the occasional upset on the way.

FINAL (PROVISIONAL) SCORE
MAZARRON FC 2 MINERVA 1 (match abandoned after 81 minutes)
Mazarron goals scored by : SEBASTIAN RENDON HOYOS
The first half of this game ended 0-0 as both sides cancelled each other out in a scrappy first 45 minutes with no obvious chances for either side, but taking into consideration the points gap and previous result between these two sides was quite a good first period for Mazarron FC.
At the start of the second half Jose brought on old favourite Bryan who would have a massive impact later in the game along side a lad we call "chunky" do to his physique and presence on the field.
In the 65th minute Minerva made the first breakthrough from a well worked corner where they fainted to play it short which pulled two Mazarron defenders away from their duties and this left a gaping hole for a Minerva forward to head home unchallenged.
Mazarron FC 0 Minerva 1
Going one goal down spurred Mazarron on and from a free kick, which was near the byeline level with the penalty spot, Sebastian smashed the ball home just inside the near side post. We all thought it was the side netting that bulged but no, it had beaten everyone and nestled in the back of the net.
Mazarron FC 1 Minerva 1
With 15 minutes to go Byran received the ball on the left wing he then left a defender standing and bust into the box. Two Minerva defenders number 15 and number 3 (more of him later) decided that Bryan wasn't going to progress further and fetched him down, a clear penalty. As Bryan went to the dug out to receive treatment and a drink the ball was smashed home giving Mazarron the lead again by Sebastian.
Mazarron FC 2 Minerva 1
Then it all kicked off.
Shortly after the restart the Minerva number 15 waited until the ball was on the far side of the pitch and the ref facing the other way and he attacked Bryan forcing him to the ground straight in front of the Mazarron dug out. The attention of the ref was attracted but as he came running over Jose stepped in between Bryan and the number 15 to prevent any further violence. The Minerva number 3, who had already been booked, then attacked Jose.
Now you thinking Jose is a big, young, fit bloke and these are juveniles, well this number 3 was well over 6 foot tall and ( I tell no lie) had a full dark bushy beard. His name is FEDERICO GRAU PEREZ, a name to remember.
Jose stood his ground and then it all kicked off after FEDERICO received his second booking. I would say that there wasn't many players who were not involved in a mass brawl in the middle of the pitch. The exuberant Young home supporters then got involved in the skirmish.
The lone official positioned himself next to the players tunnel taking notes and after a few moments blew his whistle and abandoned the game after 81 minutes.
As the players left the pitch FEDERICO was having to be restrained by two of their coaching staff, the number 15 was threatening everyone in the stand who was prepared to listen and I saw at least three Mazarron players walking off with bloody faces.
It will be now down to the federation, after the official submits his report, to decide as to the final result of this game.
The Minerva players were a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves.
As I left the ground the Guardia civil were coming down the road with blues and two's flashing, more trouble in the dressing room?

NEXT GAME
4pm (16.00) Saturday 28th March 2015 EF ALHAMA 'B' vs MAZARRÓN FC
Following the interesting conclusion of last weeks game the result of Mazarron FC 2 Minerva 1 remains a provisional score with the match being abandoned in the 82nd minute. But if it does stand, and I understand that is most likely the case, Mazarron FC will move up to 9th place in the league, we wait and see the thoughts of the federation officials on this matter.
This weekends opponents will be a different kettle of fish from high flying Minerva. EF Alhama 'B' sit in 15th and next bottom place in the league with just the 12 points gathered all season from the 21 games played and they come from just 3 wins and 3 drawn matches.
Ladt weekend they lost 5-1 at Torre Pacheco.
Mazarron FC had the pleasure of hosting Alhama in early November 2014 and we sent them home defeated with a 8-0 scoreline.
