FIRST GAME ON A NEW VENTURE EF TORRE PACHECO v MAZARRÓN FC
Sat 27th/Sun 28th September 2014 (KO: tbc)Well it's the debut season for our second string juvenile side coached and managed by our very own club president Jose.
I cannot, at this time, find out wether EF Torre Pacheco are a newly formed team like Mazarron FC or where they were last season. I have a look in both the Primera and segunda leagues for the 2013/14 season but couldn't find them.
So no history at the moment.
Anyway all the luck in the world to our second juvenile side and wherever they finish I'm sure that they will do us proud.

Grupo Primero, Primera Juvenile ... finished 11th out of 18. Not sure why they dropped down. Maybe like our benjamines couldn't get enough good players to stay in the top league.

Praise too soon!!! What a pr*tt! That's their FIRST team - we played them Saturday remember!
I'll keep looking.
According to their website, they have THREE Juvenile teams. One in the 'nacional' league, one in the 'primera' and one in the 'segunda'. They have info on the first two, but nothing at all on the segunda team. So, at a guess, they have just formed it this season.

The Fed says 0-0, but their 0-0s have not always been accurate!
EDIT:..............
I'm glad I didn't believe them! I'm afraid they've amended it to...
E.F. TORRE PACHECO 4 - 3 MAZARRON F.C.
Goles:
Torre Pacheco: JUAN SEBASTIAN MORALES MORENO (2) PEDRO JOSE FRUCTUOSO LLAMAS (1) RAUL MANZANARES GARCIA (1)
Mazarron FC: (2) LUIS MORER NAVARRO (1) MARIO RENE GOMEZ MELGAR
Tarjetas:
Torre Pacheco: DANIEL JIMENEZ ANDREO tarjeta DANIEL MARTINEZ CORBALAN tarjeta JUAN SEBASTIAN MORALES MORENO tarjeta roja RAUL MANZANARES GARCIA tarjeta SHOBRAJ SINGH tarjeta
Mazarron FC: NONE!!!
So, what do we make of that? Looks like the TP team are a pretty rough lot! And that our lads kept their cool well. But just didn't do enough to come away with any points. I'll be interested to hear José's comments!

FIRST HOME GAME FOR OUR NEW SEGUNDA JUVENILE TEAM
MAZARRÓN FC v ROLDAN AD
SCHEDULED FOR
SATURDAY 4th or SUNDAY 5th October 2014 (TBC)
Following the narrow defeat to Torre Pacheco last weekend our newly formed juvenile segunda team will appear in Mazarron for their home debut. Their opponents will be Roldan AD who had a fine 4-1 win against Pinatar on Sunday and go second in the league on goal difference. Last season Roldan played in the same league, juvenile segunda, but in group cuarto where they finished in 8th place so are an established juvenile team. I had a word with our senior team coach, Javi, who was looking after the lads for last weekends game whilst Jose was away in Zaragoza and he said that he was very pleased with the squad, saying it was their first outing ever, and that they were unlucky not to have come away with at least a point. More details will be published here as I get them.

A GAME OF TWO GOAL KEEPING ERRORS
MAZARRÓN FC 1 v ROLDAN AD 1 This game was there for the taking by the home side who had most of the possession throughout the game but could never find the finishing touch, but was an excellent home debut for our second juvenile side.
This young side played a confident game and, given time, will make progress in this league but desperately need an out and out striker. Today they had bryan who tried his best but was somewhat isolated up front and was soon overwhelmed by defenders.
In the second half Perico, returning from long term injury and playing his second game in two days, joined the fray and made a lot of difference but it will take time for him to reach the excellent heights that he attained at the start of last season.
Despite Mazarron controlling the game this match was heading for a tame 0-0 draw that was until the first goal keeping error occurred with just 13 minutes to go.
A long speculative punt was hit into the Mazarron goal area by the Roldan midfield and as a strker bore down on it the Mazarron keeper made a fine and brave punch/save and then hit the deck expecting a foul to be given, but it wasn't. The lone official waved play on and the ball was duly dispatched into the gaping empty Mazarron net whilst the home keeper attempted to scramble back to his line.
Mazarron FC 0- Roldan 1
Moral of the story? Play the whistle.
Mazarron heads went down but not for long as they won a corner on the right with 11 minutes to go. Now the delivery of this corner was about the worse that I have ever seen, along the floor and straight to a Roldan defender on the 6 yard line but he sliced his clearance straight into his own goal just inside the near post with the keeper unable to clear his lines. Although this goal has been officially accredited to Mazarrons ALVARO LOPEZ MOLINA
Mazarron FC 1 Roldan 1
Moral of the story, have a man on each post.
For the last 10 minutes Mazarron laid siege to the Roldan goal but it wasn't to be.
FINAL SCORE
MAZARRON FC 1 ROLDAN 1
Teachers report: well done but could do better.

NEXT GAME
MAZARRÓN FC v CD MEDITERRANEO
Scheduled for Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th October 2014 (KO: tbc)
Following last weekends fine 1-1 draw Mazarron FC are at home again and this time it's against CD Mediterraneo. CD Mediterraneo were at home last weekend against Torre Pacheco winning 3-2 which has place them in a respectable position at this early stage of the season. I was quite impressed with Mazarron FC last weekend remembering that this is their first season and they have that new 'young' manager just starting out on his coaching career (Jose our senior club president). So good luck to them for next weekends game. CURRENT STATS:4th C.D. MEDITERRANEO P 2 W 1 D 1 L 0 GF 3 GA 2 Points 4 12th MAZARRON F.C. P 2 W 0 D 1 L 1 GF 4 GA 5 Points 1
