The Federation site has eventually got it's act together and amended the league table for last weekends games which shows Mazarron FB sitting proudly on top of the pile, but they have yet to publish the scorers of Mazarron FB goals last weekend, but maybe that is asking to much?
I have posted below the amended league table and also have included the top three to show you how close it is.
1st MAZARRON F.B "A" P 21 W 17 D 3 L 1 GF 119 GA 28 Points 54 2nd E.F. TOTANA "A" P 21 W 17 D 3 L 1 GF 118 GA 24 Points 54 3rd A.C.R. E.F. AGUILAS "A" P 21 W 17 D 2 L 2 GF 119 GA 38 Points 53
5th SAN CRISTOBAL P 21 W 11 D 4 L 6 GF 85 GA 60 Points 37
9th ESTRELLA ROJA C.F. P 21 W 6 D 3 L 12 GF 51 GA 64 Points 21

Thanks Helen....and welcome to the forum! All this week's games have been played with the lonely exception of our 'A' Team lads at San Cristobal (today at 16:15). Totana duly knocked-over Pulpileño and (on Thursday) Águilas 'A' overcame Águilas 'B'. An interesting conundrum here....should two affiliated teams be allowed in the same group? Águilas 'B' have nothing to play for, and their 'A' team are neck-and-neck at the top. I'm not saying anything untoward did take place, but there is always the possibility that it might! So our 'A' team need a win this afternoon to keep their noses in front.

Mazarron A 4 San Cristobal 3 Goals Aaron 3 and Ortega 1. Morro told me he hadn't slept and poor man had been out for a meal last night and was so nervous about todays match he was promptly ill all last night!! The federation surprise surprise have the goal scorers the wrong way round. It really knocks the lads ends in when their goals are not acknowledged, Aaron now has 6 goals not attributed to him.

NEXT GAMES
WEEKENDING SATURDAY 3rd or SUNDAY 4th MAY
MAZARRÓN FB 'A' vs CD LUMBRERAS
AND CD BALA AZUL vs MAZARRÓN FB 'B'
4 GAMES TO GO MAZARRÓN FB 'A' vs CD LUMBRERASHow did these two team do last weekend? Mazarron FB 'A' had a great 3-4 away win at San Cristobal with Aaron Fothergill scoring 3. This win took them to the top of the table, just. Now if you believe Aaron, Moro the excellent Alevin manager and Aaron's mum, Helen, and I do, the federation have under marked this prolific strikers goal tally by 6 goals and if you take those 6 goals into consideration Aaron's goal tally for the season so far is 35 goals scored which is only 1 goal behind the leading marksman, a lad from Totana. Does this matter? Well yes, firstly to a young man who is proud to wear the Mazarron FB shirt, secondly a set of parents who obviously put time and effort with not only their son but with the Futbol Base setup here in Mazarron but it is also important when it comes to regional recognition and selection for the Murcian representative side. So come on Federation, sort your self out. CD Lumbreras suffered a 1-2 home defeat to Lorca CFB 'D' The last time that these two sides met was on the 22nd December last year where a hard fought 2-2 was the end result. Lets home that with home advantage the boys gather all 3 points. CD BALA AZUL vs MAZARRÓN FB 'B'How did these two sides perform last weekend? Mazarron FB 'B' were at home against Estrella Roja and went down to a 2-9 defeat, which bearing in mind the position in the league of the two side is not really a shock. Bottom side CD Bala Azul didn't fair much better where they were away at Lorca CFB 'B' and the final score was 14-0 to the home side. So te bottom club take on the second from bottom side in a game where it's all about pride and local honours more than just the 3 points. The last time that these two sides met was also on 22nd December when Mazarron FB 'B' gained one of only of their two wins this season with a 4-2 demolition of their local rivals. Let's hope for a similar result in this fixture. CURRENT STATS:I will include the top three teams in these stats to show you how tight it is at the top of this league with just 4 games to go. 1 - MAZARRON F.B "A" P 22 W 18 D 3 L 1 GF 123 GA 31 Points 57 2 - E.F. TOTANA "A" P 22 W 18 D 3 L 1 GF 123 GA 25 Points 57 3 - A.C.R. E.F. AGUILAS "A" P 22 W 18 D 2 L 2 GF 124 GA 40 Points 56 7 - C.D. LUMBRERAS P 22 W 11 D 3 L 8 GF 55 GA 45 Points 36 13 - MAZARRON F.B "B" P 22 W 2 D 0 L 20 GF 28 GA 130 Points 6 14 - C.D. BALA AZUL P 22 W 2 D 0 L 20 GF 33 GA 174 Points 6

Mazarron A were up against it today. For what ever reason CD Lumbreras brought some of their primera players, I personally think this is unfair, although I am not saying our A team couldn't fair well in a primera division. The coaches were arguing, there was lots of shouting and brinkmanship from the parents and players too!!! Even racist comments from the opposition aimed at Aaron and Fran could be heard, all to no avail we won 3-1 with Aaron, Jose, and Julian on the score sheet. For all of that it was a good game to watch!

Just to add that the 'B' team got a very satisfactory 2-2 draw against Bala Azul last night.

This week's games:
Sat 10th/Sun 11th May
EF Totana vs Mazarrón FB 'A' (KO - tbc)
CURRENT STATS:
1st MAZARRON F.B P 23 W 19 D 3 L 1 GF 126 GA 32 Points 60
2nd E.F. TOTANA P 23 W 19 D 3 L 1 GF 129 GA 29 Points 60
Last weekend, Totana were at Lorca 'D' and won 6-4. So this game is the BIG ONE for our lads. With just this game and two more to play, it's neck and neck. If it's down to goal difference, Totana have a 6 goal advantage. If it's head-to-head, Mazarrón are in front due to our 5-2 win in the home game.
If it doesn't clash with the senior game, why not pop down to Totana and cheer them on. The game will be played at the Totana Ciudad Deportiva which is the same design as Mazarrón. The ground is to the North-East of Totana at the base of the Sierra - GPS coordinates are 37° 47' 30" N, 01° 29' 11" W
Sat 10th/Sun 11th May
Mazarrón FB 'B' vs Peña Madridista CdS Lorca (KO - tbc)
CURRENT STATS:
13th MAZARRON F.B. 'B' P 22 W 2 D L 20 GF 28 GA 130 Points 6
12th PEÑA MADRIDISTA P 22 W 4 D 2 L 16 GF 37 GA 126 Points 14
Last weekend, Peña Madridista were away at Atlético Pulpileño and lost 0-4.

This week's games:
Sunday 18th May
Mazarrón FB 'A' vs ACR EF Águilas 'B' (KO - 10:00)
CURRENT STATS:
3rd MAZARRON F.B P 24 W 19 D 3 L 2 GF 126 GA 33 Points 60
11th A.C.R. E.F. ÁGUILAS 'B' P 24 W 6 D 0 L 18 GF 60 GA 94 Points 18
After last week's disappointing loss at Totana, the 'A' team dropped to third in the league and will be looking to rack up a few goals against the second-string Águilas team and hope our 'B' team can get a result against the Águilas 'A' side.
Mazarrón FB 'B' vs ACR EF Águilas 'A' (KO - 10:00)
CURRENT STATS:
13th MAZARRON F.B P 24 W 2 D 1 L 21 GF 32 GA 135 Points 7

Today's results:
Mazarrón FB 'A' 5-0 ACR EF Águilas 'B'
Goles:
AARON DAVID FOTHERGILL (2) JOSE ORTEGA IZQUIERDO (1) JOSE ANTONIO OLIVER SANTIAGO (1) JULIAN JOSE HENARES HEREDIA (1)
Tarjetas:
AARON DAVID FOTHERGILL
Mazarrón FB 'B' 1-11 ACR EF Águilas 'A'
A good win for the 'A' team, but all the three top teams won this week, so we stay in third place. Next week is the final week of the season and our 'A' lads have a difficult journey to Pulpi against their 'A' team. Meanwhile, the top two, Totana and Águilas 'A' have easier games against Lumbreras and Bala Azul. So it's not looking good for us I'm afraid.

Unfortunately the league in our opinion was lost last week. Quite simply they were by far the superior team (Totana) and their coaches had done their home work and knew exactly how to stop our team. We were defensive and lacked any confidence. It was awful to watch and was flat, none of our team or coaches were up for it. Today of course a different story, but too late. The B team today were not as bad as it looks on paper and only one goal scored by Lewis from Benjamin A. We hopefully have some tournaments lined up over the summer break after next weeks final games.
