NEXT GAME
MAZARRÓN FB v PUENTE TOCHINOS
Following the fine 1-2 win on the road last weekend our cadete side play their first home game of the season on the 20/21st September.
Their opponents, Puente Tchinos lost 0-2 at home to Pinatar last Sunday.
More details as I get them, could be a good game with our lads being kept off top spot on goal difference only.

MAZARRON F B CADETES 1 v E.F.B. PUENTE TOCINOS 0 Well can I say about this game? A new look Mazarron FB cadete team, (we could only recognise 3 or 4 from last years team) in a new look strip, all black, socks shorts shirts the lot, took to the field and really look the part and proceeded to take Puente Tocinos apart, with Fran, who we knew, and a new right winger they just ran circles around the away teams defence, but try as they might the ball just wouldn't go in. A combination of poor final balls, stout defence and an inspired goal keeper kept the score at half time to 0-0 It wasn't until 10 minutes to go that, following a two times taken corner, the ball was forced over the line by the Mazarron FB number 9 who, in our opinion, was having the least effect of any player in the home side, but if you score the winning goal............. It wasn't until there was only two minutes left that Puente Tocinos had a meaningful strike on goal and that came from a Mazarron FB defensive mix up. The home keeper missed timed a back pass by one of his defenders who attempted to clear a long punt up field, the ball fell kindly to a Puente attacker who lobbed the keeper but the defender who had made the initial mistake scurried back and cleared off the line. The general consensus of opinion was that the final score should have been 6-0 or 8-0 but we will take 1-0 for now. This result puts the cadetes in fourth place but only by goal difference from the top side, Totana, with two wins out of two. I'm sure as the season goes on we will get to know the new lads names.

NEXT GAME
Sat 27th/Sun 28th September 2014 (KO: tbc)
MAZARRÓN FB v EF TOTANA
Currently Totana sit on top of the table following a 100% win record this season. They beat La Union 4-1 at home last weekend and have now scored 8 and coceded only 1 goal so it will be a stern test for our lads who also boast a 2 wins from 2 games record so something has got to give. CURRENT STATS: 1 - EF TOTANA P 2 W 2 D 0 L 0 GF 8 GA 1 Points 6 4 - MAZARRON F B. P 2 W 2 D 0 L 0 GF 3 GA 1 Points 6 So it's a winner takes all afair in Mazarron this coming weekend. And with the juveniles playing away why not come down and see the future of Mazarron football perform. More details as I get them.

MAZARRON FB LOSE THIER UNBEATEN RECORD
MAZARRON FB 2 EF TOTANA 4
On a windy drizzly day at the home of Mazarron FC a table topping match took place between Totana and Mazarron FB cadetes in the knowledge that whoever won would sit proudly on the top of the table at the final whistle, so this was a game with plenty resting on the outcome. Mazarron FB had taken the move up to the Primera cadete division in their stride so far but Totana would turn out to be a different prospect and within 6 minute the home side found themselves 0-1 down. Following a Totana attack the ball was cleared out for a corner. Throughout the game Totana would come up with moves straight of the training field and this corner was out of that book. The corner was taken short with the ball being powered into the 6 yard box with a number of Totana forwards waiting for the delivery, but it wasn't needed as the blustery wind caught the cross and the ball slipped inside the far post to everyones surprise. 0-1 Mazarron FB reply was not long in coming as the ball was passed from defence to midfield to Cristian on the left wing who floated over a delightful cross which was headed in by the waiting Mazarron FB forward ALEJANDRO ACOSTA GARCIA. 1-1 Both sides were finding the conditions difficult and there were many missed placed passes and crosses and a mix up in the Mazarron defence lead to the next goal. A misplaced forward pass by the Totana midfield missed it's it intended recipient and also fooled three Mazarron defender. An alert Totana striker nipped in, collected the ball and slipped it under the Mazarron keeper. 1-2 Again this see saw of a game changed when an excellent ball almost lead to a Mazarron goal but it was cleared out for a corner to the home team. This was duly delivered and dispatched into the goal by DAVID ARDIL NAVARRO 2-2 and Half time. Within a minute of the restart Totana was ahead again but this time with the help of the single official, who was having a very poor game. A through ball from Totana was cut out and moved forward only for the play to be pulled back for a foul that no one else saw but the arbitro. Quickly taken this free left the Mazarron defence flat footed with the ball being struck home. 2-3 The game then took a decisive turn. Soon after the restart the ball made it's way into the Totana goal mouth where the Mazarron FB number 9 headed the ball goal wards only for it to be stopped by a Totana handball. Penalty. Up steps Cristian who smashed the ball only to see it saved by the Totana keeper, Then followed the best moved of the game. After a Mazarron attack the ball was feed forward by the away keeper to the right wing and after beating a Mazarron defender executed an excellent cross field pass to the left wing from where the ball was drilled home. 2-4 Final score. A good game and a fair result. If Mazarron FB are to make progress in this division they need to look at the goalkeeping position as the current keeper is very unsure and Cristian needs to be moved to a more central striking role as the current number 9 is somewhat immobile.

NEXT GAME EF DOLORENSE vs MAZARRÓN FB
SCHEDULED FOR
SATURDAY 4th or SUNDAY 5th October 2014 (KO: tbc)
Next up for our cadetes is a trip to Dolorense following the defeat on Saturday against league leaders Totana at home. Dolorense gained a point away against La Union in a 0-0 draw. So this will be their second away trip in two weeks. Dolorense ran away with their segunda league last season and were promoted the same as Mazarron FB so this will be an interesting clash of these two teams, be it with numerous personnel changes as the lads get older. CURRENT STATS:6 - MAZARRON FUTBOL BASE P 3 W 2 D 0 L 1 GF 5 GA 5 Points 6 9 - E.F. DOLORENSE P 3 W 1 D 1 L 1 GF 4 GA 9 Points 4

NEXT GAME MAZARRÓN FB v EF EL RAAL
Scheduled for Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th October 2014 (KO: tbc)What a start the Cadetes are having following promotion last season with 3 wins out of 4 games.
I'm sure that they could not have wished for a better beginning to life in the Primera division especially in the knowledge that a big chunk of last seasons promotion winning side have now moved up to one or the other of the Mazarron FC Juvenile teams.
A 1-2 away win last weekend was the icing on the cake for the boys, BUT, next weekend they face stern opposition in the form of EF EL RAAL.
If Mazarron FB have had a good start to the season EF EL RAAL have got off to a flyer winning 3 and drawing one of their 4 games and scoring goals for fun so far, but we do have home advantage next weekend.
Last weekend EF EL RAAL were at home to AD LA UNION and ran out 4-0 winners.
CURRENT STATS:
3 - E.F. EL RAAL P 4 W 3 D 1 L 0 GF 12 GA 3 Points 10
5 - MAZARRON F.B. P 4 W 3 D 0 L 1 GF 7 GA 6 Points 9
