NEXT HOME GAME MAZARRÓN FC v NUEVA CARTAGENA FCSHEDULED FOR SATURDAY 4th or SUNDAY 5th October 2014 (KO: tbc) Nueva Cartagena FC were promoted last season after storming their segunda group and finishing top. So next weekend we will have two newly promoted sides playing one another, it could be an interesting game as Cartagena are repeating their antics of last season with a blistering start to their primera season debut.
Last weekend Cartagena beat Torre Pacheco 6-2 at home and have now made it 3 wins out of 3.
When Mazarron FC played Torre Pacheco the weekend before they lost 4-3, Hmmmmmm, but we do have home advantage.
CURRENT STATS
1 - NUEVA CARTAGENA F.C. P 3 W 3 D 0 L 0 GF 12 GA 3 Points 9 7 - MAZARRON F.C. P 3 W 1 D 1 L 1 GF 8 GA 5 Points 4

It's possible! They've now added the cards, but still no goal scorers.
Did anyone go? Looks to have been a bit of blood-and-thunder! Several yellows and one red each!

HIGH NOON AT THE OK CORRAL Ok, here's the bottom line. Mazarron FC juveniles won this game 1-0 but...... Apparently Mazarron FC ran this game from start to finish but had problems putting it to bed following taking the lead in the second half. This appears to have put the Cartagena's teams noses out of joint, after all they were league leaders and undefeated with a 100% record and could these upstarts from Mazarron dared to take the lead? Cartagena apparently had a player who was soon named 'chunky monkey' and he had been 'putting it about' all game but getting away with foul after foul. Then in the 87th minute he elbowed a Mazarron player in the face and was shown a straight red card. On his long walk of shame to the dressing rooms he passed the player that he had just fouled and punched him straight in the face knocking the lad to the floor, then it all kicked off. It is fair to say that there was a pitch invasion with parents, players and team officials getting involved. Then the local police turned up who, after seeing what was going on and the number of people involved, called for the Guadia Civil. Order was restored but with only 3 minutes left on the clock the match was abandoned. It's now down to the FFM to sort this one out. Will they play 3 minutes in a re-match? Let the score stand? or some other solution?

At the moment, the Fed. have declared it 'finalizado' at 0-0 and even added the point to each team in the league table. So, two problems there! As we know, they normally declare a game 'suspendido' if it doesn't reach the 90 mins.
EDIT: update at 7 p.m. Sunday (Spanish)
The Federation have updated the report and table to show a score of 1-0 to Mazarrón and state it as 'finalizado'.
The scorer was Stalin! (STALIN DANIEL PINZON LUNA)

NEXT GAME
ANOTHER TOP OF THE TABLE OPPONENT
CLUB ATLÉTICO PULPILEÑO v MAZARRÓN FC
Scheduled for Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th October 2014 (KO: tbc) Last weekend ATLETICO PULPILEÑO had a fine 2-3 away win at E.F. TORRE PACHECO which moved them into 3rd place in the league so the games don't come any easier for our lads. Of course we will be missing PABLO CARREÑO ZAMORA who received a straight red in the course of the brawl at he end of last weekends game, but we await any further repercussions to those ugly scenes. CURRENT STATS:3rd CLUB ATLETICO PULPILEÑO P 4 W 3 D 0 L 1 GF 12 GA 6 Points 9 6th MAZARRON F.C. P 4 W 2 D 1 L 1 GF 9 GA 5 Points 7 So theres not much between these two teams and with a win and 3 points both sides will progress up the league. More details as I get them.
