UNBELEIVABLE
From the 7 games involving 14 teams being played this weekend there are 40 players/club officials suspended for whatever reason including one player, FRANCISCO COSTA FERNANDEZ, from Mazarron FB.

FINAL SCORE MAZARRON F.B 7 v E.F. ALHAMA "A" 0 I tell you what, it is a pleasure to go a watch this current crop of Cadete players who certainly know how to play a game of football in the correct manner. From the word go the ball was played to feet with only rarely a pass going astray. No high balls, just 'lumping' it up field, no chasing about after the ball in groups, but just honest to goodness skill. So it was amazing that at half time the score was only 1-0 to the home side scored by the ever reliable Fran. For the second half Domingo joined the fray having been rested by the coach for the first 45 minutes. Domingo had stepped up to the juvenile team for their 0-1 win on Friday along with the Cadete keeper who had apparently saved a penalty Friday night for the juvenile side. Within 6 minutes of the restart Mazarron FB had scored another 3 goals rushing into a 4-0 lead and it was one way traffic from there on in. Perete, the juveile coach, was with us in the stands and he was encouraging the lads to keep the score down and not to embarrass the opposition but they took no heed of his advise and went on to score another 3 by the time of the final whistle. The pick of many fine goals was an individual effort by Domingo who, when surrounded by 3 defenders, whilst in the penalty area left them in his wake doing a 360 degree spin and as the goalkeeper rushed towards him he simply chipped the ball over his head into the empty goal, sheer class. A word of praise for both keepers, although the Mazarron lad had little to do but still pulled of two great saves despite carrying a groin injury, but the Alhama lad kept the score down with three point blank saves. Mazarron also hit the woodwork 3 times and the score could have easily been into the double figures. The cadetes go marching on. MAZARRON F.B 7 v E.F. EDIT
10am (10.00) SATURDAY 1-3-2014
EF ALHAMA 'B' v MAZARRÓN FB
Following the cadetes fine 7-0 win against EF Alhama 'A' last weekend the next opposition facing league leaders, Mazarron FB cadetes, will be EF Alhama 'B' who they will be playing away next weekend and here's hoping that it goes in a similar way to the last time they met last November. 7-1 was the final score and it could have been many, many more. Last weekend EF Alhama 'B' were well beaten 1-3 at home by San Cristobal 'B'. CURRENT STATS: 1st MAZARRON F.B P 17 W 15 D 2 L 0 GF 83 GA 7 Points 47 11 - E.F. ALHAMA "B" P 17 W 4 D 2 L 11 GF 29 GA 55 Points 14 EDIT
E.F. ALHAMA "B" 2 MAZARRON F.B 6
Mazarron FB goal scorers: Goles: (2) CRISTIAN COSTA CAMPILLO, (1) DOMINGO CABRERA ACOSTA, (2) GINES NAVARRO LOPEZ, (1) ISMAIL BELAIDI
Mazarron FB Cadete's needed the win today as second placed Pulpi won 4-0 so it keeps the gap at 4 points. Mazarron FB have yet to play Pulpi at home this season and that is in 5 weeks time. Last time they met, earlier in the season, it was a 2-2 draw. One to look forward to.
And how are these for stats?
1st MAZARRON F.B Played 18 Won 16 Draws 2 Lost 0 Goals for 100 Goals against 9 Points 50
So the cadetes hit the magical 100 goals for with still 8 games to go. Well done lads.

WEEKENDING Sat 8th/Sun 9th March 2014
MAZARRÓN FB v LORCA CFB 'A'
8 games to go! Well we are in for a right corker next weekend where top of the table Mazarron FB take on 4th placed Lorca CFB 'A'. I just hope that the game doesn't clash with the senior game. Mazarron FB cadete's had a thumping 2-6 away win at Alhama "B" last weekend whilst Lorca CFB 'A' beat the other side from that town, Alhama "A", at home 2-1 and with only 3 places between the sides Mazarron FB need to be on top form to take all three points. The last time they met in November 2013 in Lorca, Mazarron FB ran out 0-4 winners but knowing the Cadete's coach, as I do, I am sure that he will not take this game for granted and have the lads firing on all cylinders. If you come onto this forum and are interested in youth football I'm sure that you wont want to miss this must win game for Mazarron FB as they stride to win the division and get promotion. CURRENT STATS:1st MAZARRON F.B P 18 W 16 D 2 L 0 GF 100 GA 9 Points 50 4th LORCA C.F.B. "A" P 18 W 11 D 3 L 4 GF 39 GA 24 Points 36 I will update this posting when further details become available. NOTE: Nothing to with this game but of the two teams that have any realistic chances of denying Mazarron FB Cadetes the chance of winning the league this season are Lumbreras and Atletico Pulpileno.
Now we have played 3rd placed Lumbreras twice this season, drawing at home and winning away so we can't do anything about them but they are 8 points behind us.
But second placed Pulpileno are a different ball game as we have yet to play them at home, a game scheduled for Sunday 13th April 2014 and they are just 4 points behind us! The senior team is also at home that weekend so I'm sure that arrangements can be made for us to see both game.

Possible bad news. I've just had this in from Jose when I asked him about the timings of the Cadete game. His reply is: "Cadetes domingo 17:30 estadio municipal", so we await to see when the senior team play and hope for a Saturday game, but don't hold your breath as the last two home games Lorca kicked off at 5pm on the Sunday:-( So match details for the Cadete game next weekend is: SUNDAY 9th MARCH
MAZARRON FB v LORCA CFB 'A'
KICK OFF 5.30pm (17.30)
LOCATION: MAZARRON HOME GROUND "ESTADIO MUNICIPAL"

The Juveniles are playing on Saturday away and are using the excellent Cadete goalkeeper, Pablo, Fran and Domingo. This has the knock on effect of moving the Cadete game to Sunday as these players are crucial to both sides.
The cadete game on Sunday would have been played earlier so we go and see it but the Cadete coach is involved in a cycle competition in Mazarron on Sunday morning with 2000 cyclists taking part. Therefore the game has to be at 5.30pm Sunday.
Sods law I'm sorry to say.
Information is direct from Jose.

But I thought it was strange to be at the Municipal.
The Fed. say the Cadetes will be at the Complejo as usual! Are they right?

Our Cadetes need a win tonight as their closes rivals had a good result today, SAN CRISTOBAL "A" 3 v ATLCO PULPILEÑO 6, and that result puts second placed Pulpileno just one point behind league leaders Mazarron FB but we have a game in hand which kicks off at 5.30pm.
It's a pity Mazarron FB home game today is on at the same time as the seniors match:-(
There is a massive BMX competition taking place at the sports complex in the port today and the place is jam packed so that might be the reason the cadetes are playing at our home ground.
FINAL SCORE
MAZARRON FB 3 v LORCA CFB 'A' 1
Mazarron FB re establish their lead at the top.

THERE IS NO GAME ON THE WEEKEND OF 15/16-3-2014
NEXT FIXTURE
Sat 22nd/Sun 23rd March 2014 LORCA CFB 'B' v MAZARRÓN FB
7 GAMES TO GO Despite going a goal down the Cadetes turned the game round last weekend and ran out 3-1 winners against Lorca CFB 'A'. The side was depleted of a number of their best players who had been used in the juvenile game the day before so the result is even better than the score line makes out and shows the depth of this excellent side.
Next up for league leader are another Lorca CFB team this time the 'B' side.
The previous meeting between the sides was in late November when Mazarron FB won 2-0. Mazarron FB have moved onwards and upward since then but the same cannot be said for their opponents.
CURRENT STATS:
1st MAZARRON F.B P 19 W 17 D 2 L 0 GF 103 GA 10 Points 53
9th LORCA C.F.B. "B" P 19 W 6 D 5 L 8 GF 33 GA 5 Points 23
Don't quote me but I understand that this game might have been brought forward by a week, watch this space.
